Huawei Honor 3C Ultimate Review

What is Huawei really doing in the Mobile Industry?

Huawei. The name rings a bell doesn’t it? The Chinese brand, Huawei, was founded in 1987. At first, it was involved in making the mobile broadband dongles. Yes, if you saw this name before 2010, you were probably using your Tata Photon dongle. Nearly all dongles that we use today are manufactured by Huawei.

In 2010, Huawei entered the actual battleground. With almost nothing as an armor or a weapon, this brand came out barefoot into the stadium, filled with the top brands and their top-notch smartphones.

It wouldn’t be wrong if we expected Huawei to be ignored, but seems like this brand sure had something about it. Rather than being ignored, it somehow made it through! Yet today, it might not be as good as Micromax or other brands of its time, but we cannot say that it is as bad as the newer brands like Gionee or older brands like LAVA in the field of smartphones.

Will Huawei Honor 3C make a difference?

Recently, Huawei released another smartphone, named “Huawei Honor 3C”. The Android Smartphone runs the not-so-old Android v4.2.2 JellyBean OS. We cannot confirm it yet whether the latest Android v4.4.2 KitKat update will be out for this phone or not. Keeping it aside, this phone comes with the Mediatek MT6582 Chipset and runs on a quad-core 1.3Ghz CPU, which will certainly give a nice boost to speed and will attract a lot multi-tasking people. It also has the Mali-400MP2 GPU installed onto it, which in turn will call out for all the mobile gamers out there. It has all the sensors that a modern-day smartphone should have, like an Accelerometer, Gyro-sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and a Magnetic Sensor or Compass.

Talking about the network, this phone is a dual-SIM phone with dual-standby. It supports Micro-SIM and both 2G and 3G networks.

Worth speaking Huawi Honor 3C Features:

The display is a 5-inch, 720 x 1280 IPS LCD display with just 294-ppi Pixel density. This was quite a disappointment as most phones today set 441-ppi as the base for a 5-inch screen. But still, we cannot expect much in this price range.

It comes with a 2GB RAM and 8GB Internal memory which is expandable upto 32GB with the use of Micro-SD cards. It is installed with the latest version of Bluetooth with A2DP support which will let you share images, songs, videos, and files faster than before!

Now talking about the camera, which is usually one of the important factors that decides the selling point of a smartphone. This phone flaunts an 8MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash along with a 5MP secondary camera. Moreover, it can record videos with 1080p clarity at 30fps. The primary camera also supports Geo-tagging, Touch Focus and Face Detection.

Huawei Honor 3C Battery Life test:

This phone is powered by a 2300 mAh Lithium Polymer battery, which might have a worse energy density than Lithium-ion battery, might cost more in making them, but will surely make the device a lot thinner and lighter than a Lithium-ion powered device. Lithium-polymer batteries can be designed to be Credit Card thin as well! Not to forget that they do not have a certain shape, and can be shaped in any possible way by the manufacturer, unlike Lithium-ion batteries which need to be in shape of a rectangular box. Moreover, these batteries give improved performance on low or high temperatures. So this battery might be able to sustain this phone for about 2 days pretty easily!

Huawei Honor 3C Launch date and price in India:

Price : This phone costs nearly Rs. 15,000 INR. Though we cannot expect much from this price range, it wouldn’t be wrong if I say that I feel this phone is a bit overpriced. Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus which is Rs.3,000 costlier than this phone approximately is a better choice because it has a 16MP camera (which is double than what this phone flaunts) and an Octa-core processor (which is also double of what this phone flaunts). So logically it would be better if you buy an Octane Plus instead! But if you want an awesome battery life along with a thin and lightweight phone, I would tell you to go for this phone – it won’t disappoint you. That’s it, decided which phone to buy?
