Karbonn A21 Review:
Karbonn launched a Mid Range smart phone with high class features in the end of October, promoting the Champions League Twenty T20 Series with hell lot of Advertisements for featuring their Duple Series which Multi Tasks at Ease. They have launched their Next phone Karbonn A21. This phone was launched with the A7+ phone, the succeeding phone of A7. Karbonn A21 comes with a very large screen size of 4.5 Inch Screen IPS Display; closer to a phablet, and it comes with a resolution of 480×800 pixels with 5 point multi touch feature. It comes with the latest Android OS – v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, below the display
The Main Disadvantage in the Secondary Phone Companies like Micromax , Spice are they lack scratch resistant screen, while Nokia, Samsung, Sony Phones comes with Gorilla Glass Display. But we can’t expect more from a mid-range phone.The Karbonn A21 comes with the same configuration like the Karbonn A9+; the processor remains the same, 1.2GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon, at present the best processor in the Market. The GPU of the phone is Adreno 203 which is quite enough for Mid Level Gaming. For High End Gaming, you should try Sony Smart phones. It is a Dual SIM Phone (GSM + GSM) one for 3G and another for 2G. It has a 5MP HD Primary Camera which can shoot a 720p HD Video and a LED Flash comes with it. Features like Autofocus, Geo Tagging, and Smile Detection are also present. It has a 1.3MP Secondary Camera in the front for Video Calling.
The internal Memory of this phone is 4 GB and can be expanded upto 32 GB by inserting Memory Card. Out of the 4 GB Phone memory , almost 1.5 GB can be used to store and install application and the rest of the Memory for Personal Usage.
This phone has most of the Required Sensors like Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyro sensor, Sound level sensor… etc.
They quoted that Karbonn A21 has a RAM of 512 MB, but many tools found that the user applications can only use 368MB RAM and the rest will be used for the System for running the Internal Features of Android OS.
It has a Jumbo 1800 mAh Li-on battery which should give 5 hours of talk time and 200 hours standby, if it is properly handled. The phone comes only in one Color: Pearl White Color.
Similar Phone: Sony Xperia Tipo which just costs Rs.9499 and has similar features and a Notable, Brandable Smartphone. I prefer Micromax A110, because it dominates Karbonn A21 with some features. Micromax A110 is not yet released; it will be released within November, 2012. It comes with an 8MP camera and a 5.0 Inch Screen, but the price of the phone is not yet revealed. Wait for the phone to be released and then buy your desired phone. Because, Micromax phones are usually cheaper.
