Note 3 vs Note 4 vs Note 5 – Battle of Samsung Notes

Note 4

This is one of the most wanted comparison in the internet itself. Looking back on September 25th of 2013, Note 3 was released. Its almost December of 2015 and people think its worth to buy with so many phones in the market. That’s when the streak started. To make it easy here’s five things to compare them:

  1. Display

This is where it all starts, You’re looking at a 5.7″ size which was constant in all the note series beginning from Note 3 to Note 4 to Note 5. All of them are super AMOLED quad HD screens. And this is one of the reason for the boost of the consumer market towards this phone. What you’re looking at is a Super AMOLED quad HD screen back in 2013. Apart from that, both the Note 4 and Note 5 has 518 ppi vs the 386 ppi in Note 3.

  1. Camera

The camera in the Samsung galaxy Note has got its own name and is known for the best quality compared to other devices in the market. Both the Note 4 and Note 5 has got 16 MP rear camera and 13 MP rear camera in Note 3. While the front camera is different in each with 5 MP in Note 5 and 3.7 MP in Note 4 and 2.1 MP in Note 3.

Note 3 vs Note 4

  1. Hardware and memory

With the new series coming up, the processors have been boosted comparing with a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor which is also known as the Exynos Octa core in the Note 3 VS the 2.7 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 805 processor or 1.9 GHz Octa-Core (1.9GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad-Core) VS the beasty Exynos 7420 with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57.
To put them simple, they can handle anything. They all have plenty of RAM to handle your processes, looking at 3GB of RAM in Note 3 and Note 4 VS the 4GB RAM in Note 5. And looking at the storage, all three are available in 32 or 64 GB variants with expandable storage in Note 3 and Note 4 VS the un-expandable storage in Note 5.

  1. Battery and charging

The last and the final thing being the battery, the most important of all. Here, we are looking at 3220 mAh removable battery in the Note 3 and Note 4 VS the slightly lesser 3000 mAh non-removable battery in the Note 5.
And looking at the charging part, Both the Note 5 and Note 4 supports the fast charge whereas the Note 3 doesn’t. And wireless charging is an option in Note 3 and Note 4 where you can replace the back for this feature whereas the Note 5 has this feature built in.

Conclusion

This cannot be exactly said. Because it totally depends upon you main purpose and the budget you have to spend it for a smartphone. So while all three being same sized phones, you might not have confusion in that part but apart from that there are few that you need to consider before purchasing.
There might be little degradation in Note 5 compared to the Note 3 and Note 4, but like an opposite reaction you might find the bump in specs.
This is a confusing decision when it comes to this three because they all have similar hardware and software. Putting it simple, if you need the best camera and hardware, its Note 5. If you need something budget friendly it’s Note 3.

  1. My friend have Galaxy Note 4 and I can say that you should not go with that. There are lots of mobiles to go like One Plus 2 instead of this. 🙂

    What you say?
