The Nokia Lumia 920 and the BlackBerry Z10 are two of the much hyped smartphones released this year. Whereas the Lumia 920 was launched on the latest Windows Phone 8 platform, the Blackberry Z10 was the first handset to be launched on the BlackBerry 10 platform. We do a comparison between the two smartphones to see which would be the better phone to own.

Processor & RAM
Both smartphones have the same 1.5 GHz Qualcomm dual core Snapdragon S4 processor. However, the Z10 offers 2GB of RAM which is significantly higher than the Lumia 920’s 1GB of RAM. With its smaller screen size and the higher amount of RAM, the BlackBerry Z10 is the winner on this front, offering a faster and smoother browsing experience.
The Nokia Lumia 920 is built on the Windows 8 platform which is all set to beat the other operating systems to the number one position. The BlackBerry 10 has been newly developed exclusively for BlackBerry phones, and is in fact making its debut with the Z10. The Windows 8 offers more number of apps. However, both phones have unique navigation experience with the Windows 8’s Live Tiles and BlackBerry 10’ gesture-based “flow” navigation.
The Lumia 920 has an 8.7MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, autofocus and dual-LED flash and video recording at 1080p with video stabilization. It has a 1.3 MP front camera. The Z10 has a 8MP Rear Camera, which can record 1080p Full HD Videos and a 2MP Front Camera for Video calls. The Lumia 920 offers Nokia’s Pureview technology that gives a great deal of image stability and clarity. With a more powerful camera, we pick the Lumia 920 as the winner.
Memory & Battery
The Lumia 920 has 32GB internal memory which is not expandable, which is typical of Windows Phone 8 OS phones. The BlackBerry Z10 has 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 64 GB externally via microSD card.
