We come across tons of images on various social medias each day. But the greatest fact is that almost all are fake, in the sense that its altered or modified in many methods. One of the common method used is Adobe Photoshop. Naked eye analysis wont give you any idea about the reality of the image. Now we are sharing an ultimate tool that will help you in concluding about the reality of an image.

FotoForensics is a free online based service that works upon the theory of  Error Level Analysis (ELA) algorithm  which will help you in concluding weather an image is real, computer edited or not. The site works very simply and in the space provided you could either add a link or upload your photo to check the image is computer graphics or not. Once the image is analysed, you will be landed to a page that shows the uploaded image and the ELA . For ease of work you could move mouse cursor over the image and turn your image into a ELA. An image edited could easily be spotted out since the spots of editing will show high ELA levels.

So, now never get confused over the images over the Social Networking sites, simply paste the Image URL and check for the ELA levels. Now, lets over throw all fake aspects that come across and let us think real and be real.

  1. There are lots of fake images in different social networking sites especially Facebook. They can easily shared and paste the URL of different websites. I can even spot the fake images they are giving in the networking site, I think I have problems about my eyesight.

    Geo, what is the point of knowing if the image is fake or not, edited or original. Everything out there has been photo shopped. I am thinking that it would be a good idea to turn the images of celebrities, models and political figures into ELA images. But it is still in image in your head, not the reality.
